Besides translocating into the nucleus, GRa was reported to shuttle into mitochondria on ligand activation and also to promote mitochondrial gene expression by binding to their own individual DNA (sixty six) (Figure 8). Publicity of rats to stress or corticosterone induces translocation of GRa to mitochondria and modulates mitochondrial mRNA expres
